andynali Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Hi anyonw out there can help I would be eternally grateful. Just gone down from Coventry to Cheltenham to rescue my lad stranded by the weather and plugged the satnav in to the lighter socket and nothing! Went to pull away and cleared the screen and nothing happened. Thought the wipers might be frozen but no. Eventually got the cover off the fuses and tried all the ffuses that mentioned anything to do with wipers or washers and nothing. The only one that was blown was the cigarette lighter socket. replaced and it worked. Tried the wipers and then realised that when I pulled the arm towards me as if to wash/wipe, the rear wiper operated? Pushed it away, and the rear wiper agaiun operated. I am presuming its a relay or motor problem but would be grateful of any help. The wahers were frozen all day but the wipers were worki ng two hours before. Its a 54 plate 1.9Tdi THanks Quote

pippylongstocking Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Also new to this but had exactly the same prob with my galaxy yesterday. Thanks for advice - fuse 33 replaced and wipers now working! How strange! But great to be able to access this at my finger tips rather than pay autoelectrician to come out and do it for me- thanks guys! Quote
